Jax Newborn Session - Logan, Utah Photographer

The Parkinson Family is near and dear to my heart. I've done sessions with them for just about everything including birth announcements, newborn sessions, family sessions, and milestone sessions. This is the second newborn session I have done for them and it has been so fun to watch their family grow over the years!

The oldest child in the family, and the only girl, is Ellie! She is 6 now and has grown so much in the last few years. Both physically and emotionally! She is the best big sister and friend to her, now, three little brothers and has assumed the role of second mother nicely! She makes up for the lack of sisters by truly loving all things girly, pink and glittery which her parents really love. Kade, age 4, is the opposite and loves all things boy including sonic and marvel superheroes. In my opinion, he is the most tender of the kids which shows through his love for his family, but especially his mom. Grady, age 2, is the cutest. I had the honor of taking both his newborn and first birthday photos. From day one he was the chubbiest baby and the only thing that has changed about that is his age! He still has the best cheeks that everyone loves. He really embodies the toddler stereotype. He is curious and wants to know how everything works and loves to "help" others which is sometimes not as helpful as a person would like. He is also true to the younger sibling stereotype and loves his older siblings fiercely.

Jax is the newest addition to the family. At the time of our session he was about 5 weeks old. After being born he spent 18 days in the NICU. He finally graduated and was well loved when his parents were able to bring him home from the hospital. He has the sweetest newborn spirit and I am certain he is going to grow up and be just as wonderful as his big siblings!

Shayla and Sam (mom and dad) are feeling so, so grateful for the new addition to their family. Something I love about them is their love for capturing all the memories at all the stages. They are really good about creating experiences for their kids that will turn into life long memories. Recently Shayla and Sam have created a new tradition with their family where they eat their favorite dinner and then get the kids in their jammies and have them bring their pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals downstairs. Once there they all share popcorn and treats and watch a family friendly movie. The kids love it for obvious reasons, but Shayla and Sam love it because it allows the whole family to snuggle on the couch and spend some quality time together. They really are amazing parents and their kids are truly wonderful. I'm so grateful they keep coming back to me!
