I had so much fun taking newborn photos with this new family of five! From the moment I saw them at the session, I knew the photos would be amazing. Mom, a cosmetologist, made each member of the family look perfect down to even the small details of the girls matching mani pedis. I loved each member of the family members looks, but I couldn’t help falling in love with the cute curly hair of their two year old!
Shayla (mom) grew up in Kuna, ID right next door to Nampa, ID where my family lived for about six months. That was a fun connection and we loved being able to talking about the area. Sam (dad) grew up in Highland, UT and was one of five brothers! Mom and dad met six years ago on Tinder… that’s right, a Tinder success story! Their laid back personalities made for an easy photoshoot and their love absolutely radiated through the photos.
Big sister and newly promoted big brother clearly loved their new baby brother. Ellie, age five, was smitten with Baby Grady, but when I jokingly asked if I could keep Grady with me, she shouted “YES!” Without any hesitation. I’m still waiting for her to make good on that deal. Kade, age two, was a little less sure about the new addition to the family, but still gave me some sweet and tender smiles. And let me just say, Ellie and Kade each have a small, cute dimple with they flash those smiles. And then you have baby Grady. With his new tiny features and sleepy yawns, how could I not want to keep him!? The newborn stage is something truly special, but ends faster than a mom’s heart can handle which is why I loved being able to capture these tender family moments before they pass by.
