Spjut Extended Family Session - Logan, Utah Photographer

I absolutely love getting to work with people I know from my personal life. It's part of what makes my job so dang fun and rewarding. This shoot was with a family that I have known forever. Russell, the son, and I went to Junior High and High School together. We ran around with the same group of friends and he always felt like my brother. My actual brother is 10 years older than me, so Russell was my faux brother that was my age! It was so fun to see Russell and with his wife and darling children.

When Russell left on his church mission, his house was on my running route, and I used to just drop by and visit with his mom, Gina, and his sister, Alise. We used to eat Rice Krispie treats by the cookie sheet and we never regretted a single bite! I mean, have you ever tried to eat just one Rice Krispie treat? It's almost impossible! It was also so fun to see Alise again and now she's married with two really beautiful blue-eyed girls!

As if I needed a reason to love this family more, at the end of our photoshoot, Gina surprised me with an entire (and very large) bag of Rice Krispies. It was the best surprise ever and I'll let you guess how long those treats lasted. Even without the Rise Krispies, I had so much fun getting together and catching up with the Spjut Family. It's always a pleasure to spend time with truly wonderful people!
