I love the chance to photograph a fellow photographer friend! This particular friend also happens to be a doula as well and she had the most amazing birth story that I loved hearing. I also loved the chance just to see a friend and be able to photograph a sweet family that I adore.
Elise Mae is the newest member of her family. The thing I admired most about her was that once she was asleep, she was asleep. That isn't always the case with newborns, but it sure does make my job a little easier. If Elise ever was awake, she had the brightest newborn eyes. She was such a calm and sweet baby, and her parents are totally deserving of this absolute angel they brought into the world!
Elise has one big sister named Paisley. She is a spunky and wild 2, almost 3, year old. And she has the personality to prove it. She is fiercely independent and loves to do everything herself. Paisley loves to play outside and really loves animals, but her new favorite thing is her little sister, Elise. She is very protective of her baby, and it is completely heartwarming to watch! Paisley may be a momma's girl who loves to play with her daddy, but Elise is quickly becoming her favorite!
Alisa and her husband Britten are the very best parents to their little girls. As I mentioned, Alisa is a good photographer friend of mine, and she inspires me so much! How she finds time to do photography, be a doula, and parent will always be a little beyond me. But her drive in life to follow her passions is what makes her so amazing and special! Britten is the ultimate photography husband. He is so supportive of Alisa and is actually a really good sport about being in photos (which is rare...if you know, you know!). They are both so laid back and love to do anything as long as their together. They really love to play games in their free time, but their ultimate hobby is traveling. In a few months they are jetting off to Hawaii with their little girls and they are so excited!
One of the best parts about photographing another photographer's family is that they completely understand the "why" behind the importance of photos. Alisa told me she really wants to remember how little her girls are right now and all their tiny details. It was so fun to be able to capture that for Alisa and Britten.
