Some babies are incredibly easy to photograph and some are a little harder. This little guy definitely made me work for it, but it was so worth it!
Mason was a few weeks old at his newborn session. He has the kind of cheeks you want to constantly kiss and his parents can’t get enough of him or them! Aside from being an intoxicating newborn, my favorite thing about Mason was his faces! Every time his dad, Matt, leaned in and gave Mason a kiss, Mason would make a grumpy face. It had all of us laughing. Sometimes a boy just loves his momma the most!
Mason is Brittany and Matt’s first baby. Brittany and Matt met in 2014 when they were attending Michigan Technological University. After graduating and buying a house, they got married in 2019 and now they have a cute little boy! They are an adventurous couple and they especially like to vacation. Bear Lake is one of their favorite places to visit and it just so happens to be one of my favorite places for photos! Before our session I asked Brittany what she likes to do for fun. Her answer? “Recently for fun, I enjoy sleeping!” Oh Brittany, mommas everywhere feel that in their soul! I’m so glad we could capture this newborn stage while Mason is still in it because it doesn’t last long and that lack of sleep can make it hard to remember!
